Celebrating Our Heritage & 72 Years in the Community in 2026
In the early 1950’s, small group of Downers Grove residents came together with a common purpose: to build a pool. They took a lot on faith – hiring an architect and buying property before having the money to pay for the construction of the pool. Their vision would eventually become a reality when the corporation was formed on February 19th, 1954, and has become what is known today as the Downers Grove Swim & Racquet Club.
Swim Programming
DGSRC offers for its members, recreational swimming, swim lessons, swim team, dive lessons, and new in 2024 is water polo. Amenities include three pools, diving board, slide, locker rooms and more.
Tennis Programming
DGSRC offers three tennis courts and 6 pickle-ball court, including all for lighted play – along with professional tennis lessons, tennis team and adult league.
Community
DGSRC offers social programs for all life stages including weekday games, events, and special celebrations.
